Will UK emigrants be allowed to remain in Spain if no-deal is reached in Brexit negotiations?

October 25, 2017

British Expats will be allowed to stay in Spain even if no deal is reached in the Brexit negotiations.

Alfonso Dastis (Foreign Minister) has said that his government will make sure that in the event of a no-deal, Britons living in Spain will not be disrupted.

This is welcome news to the 300k+ British Expats living in Spain, as Maybot is facing pressure from numerous Tory MPs to walk away without an agreement, freeing the UK from it's financial obligations.

Alfonso Dastis - “I do hope that there will be a deal. If there is no deal we will make sure that the lives of ordinary people who are in Spain – the UK people – are not disrupted."

We need our government to immediately guarantee existing rights for all EU nationals living in Britain. EU nationals do not just contribute to our society: they are part of our society. And they should not be used as bargaining chips. Better yet #CancelBrexit.
